This Saturday I had the best farmer's market EVER.

This Saturday I had the best farmer's market EVER.It was a sleepy, hot, quiet kind of day.. about two thirds as many people through the gate as the market before.. and yet I did over three times as many sales.. 🤩I did even more sales than my December/Christmas markets.So, what happened?Long story short, my regulars were stocking up!The year is underway; it's almost the end of Jan and people are getting back into the swing of work and school.My snacks make people's lives easier.Throw one in your bag, lunch box or car and it will be there when you need it, to keep you full and focused.My bars are for life, not just for Christmas 😝I can't tell you how proud that makes me.Thank you to all of my regular customers, you are incredible and you are what keeps this business (and me!) going💚

Why do kids always look in pain when you tell them to smile?Is this how you smile? 😬😂I spent the morning hanging out with my husband, my bestie and her little boy in the gardens.Two of his first words were "Ellie" and "bar" 🤩🥰I'll never get tired of seeing his eyes widen when he sees one of my bars!Today he chose the "lellow one" 💛

Spice up your life!Cacao was first consumed as a drink, brewed up with spices like cinnamon and chilli by the Aztecs.This indulgent and stimulating drink was called Xocolatl, and is what inspired the We Bar None Aztec bar!This flavour often surprises people and is the flavour with the most die hard fans!It's not too spicy, just warm and tingly with a big hit of cinnamon 😍If you haven't tasted it yet, you should definitely give it a try and see why this combo has stood the test of time 🍫🌶️

Happy New Year! 🥂🎇And what a year it's been 😅My word for 2020 was conviction 💪🏼I was heartbroken by the bushfires, tired of people brushing off climate change as some abstract future problem, sickened by our addiction to plastic, sugar, fossil fuels and the lack of personal responsibility people take for their actions.This year has thrown more than a few curve balls our way, and I have experienced loss, uncertainty and disappointment like many, but I've still managed to stay true to my intentions this year.🌳 I partnered with @15.trees and became carbon neutral✉️ I switched to @hero.packaging satchels, which are ABA certified, making my postal orders zero waste💪🏼 I ran for my local council and championed the issues of waste, climate change, and social justice🍎 My volunteer group @thehiddenorchard smashed our previous harvest record by 1 TONNE of fruit🍫 I donated over 2000 bars to Ballarat and Melbourne food relief charities to try and help address the food security crises exacerbated by COVID🪢 I started a rag rug, using our old clothes that are too worn to go to the opshop🚶‍♀️We walked and explored our neighbourhood more than ever before👩‍⚕️ Went to the dentist after putting it off for a decade.. 😅For all this and more, I'm so proud of myself.I think it's really important to stop and reflect on not only what we're grateful for, but what we're proud of, especially under circumstances like this year.What are you proud of?Are you going into 2021 with an intention?
